the good airfare deals are growing ever fewer and farther between, putting a damper on the goin-places routine, so i was a little more amped than usual to hear about the arrival of the megabus to chicago. i'm not an avid bus rider (see: motion sickness), but for going to those not-so-far-away places, you can't beat the $1* fare, each-way. i'd even spring for the $3 and $5 fares; avoiding the road rage alone is worth the extra bucks.
a day trip to the milwaukee art museum to see the masters of american comics and toulouse-lautrec exhibits is on the books.
(*plus $.50 reservation fee)

as of today, the US officially deems libya one of the good guys. hopefully that will ease up the visa-application mess, which is still a mess two and a half months after i got mine (a mere week before my departure).
